Say Who?

Welcome! Come in, sit down and take a load off. It has been a long day for me too! Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the read.

It is late, the house is quiet, everyone has gone to sleep, and to be honest with you I am a bit of a fool to be up myself.
My days start early, about 5:30 AM kind of early. I know what you are thinking, why so early pretty lady?? To answer your thoughts, because I have a 6 month old its that simple. For those reading this that don't have kids, know this - one day you will have them or adopt them, as we all do- but for now enjoy yourself! If your clock is not ticking don't rush. There is plenty of fun to be had before you embark in parenthood. Now for those in full on mommy and daddy mode, isn't it just brilliant? Even with all the stress and dark circles that seem to never go away it is the most complete experience we could ever have. I am done discussing kids now, I promise. For now anyways.

As you may have guessed from the name of this blog I am in real estate, did you guess it? If so, you are correct my friend. I am in deed a full fledged Realtor, as if the world does not have enough of us. It really does seem that overnight the entire world got into selling, buying, trading, flipping, and auctioning houses. We must all thank HGTV for turning one of the mundane professions, right above cars salesmen (no offense to those that sell cars! ) into a hip, glamorous, thats what i want to do type of career. So Thank You HGTV :).

So why did I dedicate a blog this topic? No, not to bore you, I promise. But to share with you my experiences, my days, my challenges. You see in this profession you cannot share any of your insecurities with your colleagues. Everyone is a shark and they are ALL out to steal your client, your listing, your lively-hood! Sad- but very true.

So, this is my avenue to vent about this twisted business that might actually become extinct by 2025 as a recently read in another similar blog reassuring me that I will soon be out of a job. Which if in fact is true, this blog will become an antique, an internet landmark that must be preserved. So I will press on.

Ok, so here is the scoop with me..I actually do have a cool job. I actually tapped into a particular type of clientele that makes this job anything short of extraordinary.

I don't work with your neighbor or friend that just got a promotion and decided to buy a new apartment to match his new salary. I don't sell homes to the average soccer mom that just found out that she is having another baby and a two bedroom will just not do! Don't get me wrong these are all fine people, pursing the american dream of owning your stake in this vast land of ours and I admire all of them. But, my clients are not your average person. They are those you wish to meet, those you wait in line just to shake their hand, get a high five or get them to give you their John Hancock. My client is the professional athlete. The guy that just got his name called at the draft and picked in the first round of the NFL or NBA draft, the guy that in a matter of seconds became a millionaire, an instant celebrity, a hero to every sports fan in the country. Those are my clients, and I love it.

Now, I will not be name dropping on this blog. That would be the fastest way to ruin my career, and that is not what I intend to do. I will however share my experiences in detail, the challenges, the crazy requests and deadlines. You can fill in the blanks on your own.

I am closing up shop, thanks for stopping by!
